BOOKING CONDITIONS

DAY 1: ARRIVING GUANGZHOU | MEALS: IN-FLIGHT

Upon your arrival in Guangzhou international airport, a tour representative will meet you and then escort you to check into the hotel.

DAY 2: GUANGZHOU | MEALS: B, L

Today you will be on a Guangzhou insight tour that incorporates both driving and walking, and typically includes sightseeing as well as trying delicious local Cantonese food. You will discover the traditional Canton culture by visiting the famous sites including Chen Clan Academy, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and Temple of the Six Banyan Trees.

DAY 3: GUANGZHOU- SHANGHAI - SUZHOU | MEALS: B

This morning you will board a flight and travel to Shanghai, upon your arrival in Shanghai airport, a tour representative will meet you at the airport and then escort you to Suzhou (approximately a 1.5-hour coach ride) to check into the hotel.

DAY 4: SUZHOU - WUXI | MEALS: B

Suzhou, which dates back to 514 BC, is sometimes called the 'Venice of the East'. Today you will visit the famous Lingering Garden, recognised with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. China is renowned for its exquisite silk, so naturally a visit to the Silk Spinning Factory is in order. Afterwards drive to Wuxi (approx. 1 hour). Wuxi boasts a reputation of being the "Land of Fish and Rice." Enjoy the scenery as we pass by Lake Tai, the third-largest freshwater lake in China. Enjoy a cruise ride along the Grand Canal to view life along China's ancient waterway. We will stroll along the trendy yet traditional Nanchang Street composed of both ancient and modern architecture juxtaposed with the peacefulness of the waterside town and fashionable life of Wuxi.

Enjoy the Dimsum dinner that includes the famous Xiao Long Bao, a Chinese steamed bun filled with minced pork and tasty soup, prepared in a small bamboo steaming basket.

DAY 5: WUXI - HANGZHOU | MEALS: B

This morning tour the Brilliance of Lake Lihu that is located at famous Lake Taihu, followed by a visit to a Fresh Water Pearl Farm. Then you will continue your journey to Hangzhou - a place once is described by Marco Polo as "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world".

> The Romantic Show of Songcheng:
This evening, you could join the symbolic performance of Hangzhou, "The Romantic show of Song Cheng"; it is being performed over 2,000 times per year. Since it was created, the show has been performed more than 20,000 times and entertained over 60 million audiences. It is the theatre performance that has been performed for most times and has the largest audience number; along with the O Show in Las Vegas, and the Moulin Rouge in Paris, the three are regarded as the "Top 3 Famous Shows in the World."

DAY 6: HANGZHOU - SHANGHAI | MEALS: B

Hangzhou, also known as the "Paradise on Earth", has been immortalised by countless poets and artists. The West Lake Cultural Landscape has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. After breakfast, visit The West Lake, the most beautiful lake in the country. You will enjoy a boat ride on the West Lake, the most renowned feature of Hangzhou, noted for its scenic beauty which blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites.

Then, visit No.1 Tea Plantation and taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea. Hangzhou is considered the tea capital of China, so a visit to the city just isn't complete without a trip to a local tea house. Make a special visit to the Tea House at Meijiawu Tea Village in the hinterland of West Lake Park, considered one of the most important Longjing Tea productions in China. Enjoy the beautiful village scenery while learning about China's special tea culture and how to appreciate the sophisticated taste and aroma of Longjing Tea. At the Tea House, learn how to make the Longjing Tea including tea leaves picking, frying and tasting.

At night, you may enjoy the Huangpu River Night Cruise and get a glimpse of the dazzling and charming night view of Shanghai.

DAY 7: SHANGHAI | MEALS: B

This morning, step back in time at the Shanghai Museum - home to more than 120,000 objects and artworks.

This afternoon join an insight tour of Shanghai. This tour takes you to the Lujiazui Financial & Trade Zone, where you may appreciate the economic achievements of China`s rapid development. In here, you can find the perfect combination of traditional Chinese architectural style and the world's modern architectural technology. After this, we will visit another famous site in Shanghai Xintiandi. It is a historical and cultural character of the city tourism attraction; its unique Shikumen Shanghai-based urban construction attracts people from the globe to explore this special leisure area.

This evening, treat yourself by seeing ERA The Intersection of Time or SPIRAL - Tonight you can watch a stunning Chinese acrobatic show combining Chinese arts and modern technology, comparable to the tradition of the Broadway Musical.

DAY 8: SHANGHAI - QUFU | MEALS: B

Take the bullet train to Qufu, where is host to a great number of historical and cultural sites. It's known for being the hometown of Confucius.

DAY 9: QUFU | MEALS: B

Today, you will enjoy a full day cultural tour. First, you will visit Confucius Temple, built in 478 B.C., a place for offering sacrifices to Confucius in various dynasties. Then visit the Confucius Family Mansion, the government office and private mansion of Confucius descendants. At the last stop, you will visit the Confucius Family Graveyard, the largest, the oldest and the best preserved religious tombs and gardens.

DAY 10: QUFU - JINAN - BEIJING | MEALS: B, L

After breakfast travel to Jinan, and visit Daming Lake located in the centre of Jinan City. The lake covers 81 hectares, and therefore the lake retains a constant water level throughout the year and becomes a natural and cultural symbol of Jinan city. Then you will proceed to the Black Tiger Spring. According to the old myth, in the old days, there was a black rock in front of the cave. The rock was black in colour and resembled a tiger. The sound of the water rushed out from the rock resembled like that of a roaring tiger. The resemblance of the shape and sound is the reason to name the spring as Black Tiger Spring. Later this evening you will take a bullet train and travel to Beijing. Upon arrival, you will check in for your hotel.

DAY 11: BEIJING | MEALS: B

Today you will explore the world-famous Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, the former seat of the emperors throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is a true architectural masterpiece and home to the National Palace Museum. This evening is at leisure, and you may have the opportunity to appreciate the famous local famous musical performance.

DAY 12: GREAT WALL | MEALS: B, L

Today's highlight is an excursion to the majestic Great Wall (Juyongguan Section), one of the Seven Wonders of the World! Recognised by UNESCO, and get a chance to climb a portion of this 3,700-mile marvel. Visit one of the largest Jade Exhibitions in Asia en route. Later in the day, you will explore the hutongs of Beijing on the backs of rickshaws, a traditional mode of transport in Beijing. These rapidly disappearing traditional neighbourhoods offer a glimpse into the Beijing of the past. This evening is at leisure.

DAY 13: BEIJING - XI'AN | MEALS: B

After breakfast, we will visit Beijing Zoo to see giant pandas. Then make a stop at "Tongrentang" to learn more about traditional Chinese medicine. Afterwards, transfer to Beijing Train Station for your bullet train to Xi'an.

DAY 14: SHENNONG STREAM | MEALS: B, L

Today another highly anticipated icon of the country awaits - the famous and awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors. We will visit the enigmatic ranks of the Terracotta Warriors in the company of our professional and experienced local guide. Be humbled as you stand among one of the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. You may also have the opportunity here to meet the man who first discovered the Warriors and learn about the moment they were uncovered when he stumbled upon them in 1974. After lunch, enjoy a walking food tour through the famous Moslem Street, where your guide will help order a range of delectable dishes and snacks for the more adventurous. This evening is at leisure.

DAY 15: XI'AN | MEALS: B, L

Today you will visit the incredible Wild Goose Pagoda. The temple was originally used to keep the Buddhist scripts which were carried by the great monk Yi Jing from the Indian area and over time it has become a holy place for pilgrims. Following this you visit the Ancient City Wall, one of the oldest and best-preserved city walls in all of China built in 194BC.

DAY 16: XI'AN YICHANG | MEALS: B

Today we will travel to Yichang, the gateway to the Yangtze River. This is the starting point of our Yangtze River Cruise, your home for the next four nights. The Yangtze River is the largest river in Asia and the third largest in the world. The river begins in the remote mountainous regions and winds its way through stunning gorges to bring life to millions of people. We board the Victoria cruise (the only American cruise line on the Yangtze River) in the evening and receive an introduction to cruise events and onboard activities. Take some leisure time in the evening to unpack and relax.

DAY 17: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE | MEALS: B, L, D

Enjoy your first day on the Yangtze River as your ship winds its way through spectacular scenery. Enjoy a beautiful breakfast buffet on board before joining a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Project. One of the largest construction projects undertaken by man, it is the biggest hydro project in the world. You may also choose an optional visit the Tribe of the Three Gorges, the only large scenic spot that has not been influenced by the Three Gorges Dam project, which showcases the abundant Ba Culture and Shu Culture. In the evening, you will return to the ship and attend the Captain's Welcome Banquet and enjoy an evening of dancing.

DAY 18: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE | MEALS: B, L, D

Today you will enjoy a shore excursion to the mesmerising Shennong Stream. The stream flows through three beautiful gorges including the Mianzhu Gorge, Parrot Gorge and Longcangdong Gorge. Each gorge is renowned for its unique and stunning scenery. The Shennong Stream is also home to the Hanging Coffins, which are ancient coffins containing the remains of descendants of the Tujia people. In the afternoon, you will return to the ship in time for lunch and enjoy the crew's magnificent performance in the evening.

DAY 19: YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE | MEALS: B, L, D

Today's shore excursion will take you to the Jade Emperor Scenic Area in Fengdu. The sacred site lies on the northern side of the Yangtze, west of Mingshan Mountain and east of the Shuangguishan National Forest. It features a 100-foot-tall statue depicting the Jade Emperor, an important deity in Chinese Taoism, as well as more than 200 additional Taoist and Buddhist sculptures. This evening you enjoy a Farewell Dinner with the rest of the travellers and crew and prepare for disembarkation tomorrow morning.

DAY 20: CHONGQING CHENGDU | MEALS: B

Relax and enjoy your final breakfast before disembarking in Chongqing ready for your onward journey to Chengdu. Upon arrival check into your hotel before heading to the city's largest public park, the People's Park. Immerse yourself in the local culture as residents play traditional instruments and practice tai chi and calligraphy. Visit a local teahouse for rest before heading to Jinli Promenade, a popular folk art street lined with buildings created in the historic Qing Dynasty style. This evening is at leisure.

> Traditional Sichuan Dinner & Opera Show:
Immerse yourself in the captivating culture of Chengdu during an incredible Sichuan Opera show and traditional dinner. Venture within a traditional restaurant to devour the local delicacy of Sichuan hot-pot. Sated, prepare to feast your eyes upon a colourful spectacle of acrobatics, music and comedy as you watch the extravagant Sichuan opera.

DAY 21: GIANT PANDA | MEALS: B, L

Today you'll come face to face with beautiful giant pandas at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. In addition to this national treasure, the centre is also home to black-necked cranes, white storks and other varieties of panda.

DAY 22: TOUR ENDS & FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA | MEALS: B

Your tour ends today with a transfer to the airport for your flight home or your onward journey.
